- a sustainable bioenergy industry in Southern Africa
- a comprehensive infrastructure to market and utilize biofuels in the most suitable way
- a framework of laws and regulations, favourable to the biofuel sector, and to
- establish a network of companies, organizations and individuals in order to provide a platform for discussions, interaction and co-operation for the benefit of the biofuel sector

About Biofuels
Biofuels are a complementary and alternative energy source to fossil fuels and they can contribute to:
- further increasing agricultural efficiency
- creating new job opportunities in agriculture, industry, infrastructure and science
- the reduction of green house gas emissions and to better environmental conditions for all people on our planet
- economic independence and prosperity for Southern African countries and their citizens
There are various biofuels to generate energy:
- Forestry, timber, wood and waste streams
- Bioethanol to replace petrol
- Biodiesel
- Gas produced from renewable sources and waste
- Hydrogen and other energy carriers, produced from renewable sources
