Overview	This patent discloses a method for fermenting ensilaged renewable raw materials to produce biogas exhibiting improved properties. The method further accelerates the entire process for producing biogas thereby resulting in desired shortening of the process time. Advantageously, the methane yields per substrate are increased and the biogas has an improved gas quality. The method comprises, A) washing and crushing ensilaged renewable raw materials, B) removing water from the washed and crushed ensilaged renewable raw materials, C) subjecting the washed and crushed ensilaged renewable raw materials to hydrolysis and D) subjecting the hydrolysis products to a biogas production method in fermenters.
