The North American convention provides a remarkable opportunity to play a part in guiding renewable energy policy for the 21st century. Attendees will create a resolution that, along with similar resolutions already drafted on four other continents, will help set the course for bioenergy research and application for decades to come. We will be in a position to take advantage of all of the knowledge and insights gleaned from statements ratified for Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe.

Featured speakers at the GSB convention include:

    • Lee Lynd, Dartmouth College, Chairman of the GSB Project
    • Nathanael Greene, Natural Resources Defense Council
    • Tom Richard, Penn State University
    • Jonathan Foley, University of Minnesota
    • And others, to be announced

A special evening keynote address will be given by Roger Thurow, author of ENOUGH: Why the World’s Poorest are Starving in an Age of Plenty.
